Summary: | The invention discloses a method for catalytically synthesizing phenyl benzyl sulfoxide compounds by copper. The synthesis method comprises that a thiophenol compound and a methyl benzene compound arefully reacted in a reaction medium of 1,4-dioxane as a solvent under the action of a copper salt catalyst and a ligand to obtain a target product, and the target product is subjected to post-treatment to obtain the phenyl benzyl sulfoxide compound. In a reaction formula (I), R1 is one selected from alkyl, halogens and trifluoromethyl; R2 is one selected from methyl and halogens. The raw materialsof the method are simple and easy to obtain, the synthesis conditions are mild, the chemical selectivity is high and controllable, the reaction is carried out under normal pressure and at a mild temperature, the catalyst is copper acetate, which is cheap and low-toxic, the cost is saved, and requirements for equipment are low. The solvent 1,4-dioxane and water are miscible with each other, and post-treatment is convenient |
