The reworking method includes the steps: cutting off the balloon catheter guide wire outlet and dividing a balloon catheter into a balloon-external cavity tube portion and a transition tube-wave tube-seat portion; reworking the balloon-external cavity tube portion, seamlessly combining an internal cavity tube bodywith internal cavity tube scrap, and then combining the reworked wave tube-seat portion together with the balloon-external cavity tube portion through a transition tube. Reworking can be performed according to defects of the guide wire outlet in the production process of the balloon catheter. As the balloon catheter is an expensive fine product, a large quantity of raw materials such as inflatableballoons, external cavity tubes, internal cavity tubes, wave tubes and seats can be saved by the method, the manufacturing cost of a single balloon catheter is saved by about 98%, and the reworking method is simple, easy and
