The invention provides a method for improving the biomass of algae. The method comprises the following steps: (1) selecting chlorella alga seeds and putting into a triangular flask containing a growthculture medium; culturing under conditions that the illumination intensity is 5000lux and the temperature is 26 DEG C; shaking the triangular flask for 2 to 3 times every day; after the chlorella alga seeds grow to a logarithmic growth phase, obtaining a seed solution, wherein each liter of the growth culture medium contains: 5g of glucose, 1g of yeast powder, 1g of ferrous sulfate, 2g of Na2SO3,0.5g of sodium chloride, 1g of potassium dihydrogen phosphate, 1g of magnesium sulfide and 1g of ammonium chloride; (2) inoculating the alga solution obtained by step (1) into an amplification culture medium according to the volume ratio of 15 percent; (3) carrying out amplification culture under the conditions that the temperature is 20+/10 DEG C, the illumination intensity is 2000+/-500lux andthe vibration speed of a sh
