Summary: | The invention discloses a catalyst for acetylene cyclotrimerization for producing benzene, and a preparation method and an application thereof. The catalyst comprises cobalt, palladium, chromium and an alpha-Al2O3 carrier, wherein the load capacity of the cobalt is 0.1-3% of the weight of the alpha-Al2O3 carrier, the load capacity of the palladium is 0.03-2% of the weight of the alpha-Al2O3 carrier, and the load capacity of the chromium is 0.05-3% of the weight of the alpha-Al2O3 carrier. The catalyst has the advantages of simple and easily obtained components, long life, remarkable improvement of the acetylene conversion rate and the benzene selectivity, and very good application prospect.
