The present invention provides coated films and packages formed from such films. In one aspect, a coated film comprises (a) a film comprising (i) a first layer comprising from 70 to 100 percent by weight of a linear low density polyethylene having a density less than 0.930 g/cm3and a peak melting point of less than 126 DEG C; (ii) a second layer comprising from 60 to 100 percent by weight polyethylene having a density of 0.905 to 0.970 g/cm3and a peak melting point in the range of 100 DEG C to 135 DEG C; and (iii) at least one inner layer between the first layer and the second layer comprisingfrom 40 to 100 percent by weight of a high density polyethylene having a density from 0.930 to 0.970 g/cm3and a peak melting point in the range of 120 DEG C to 135 DEG C; and (b) a coating on an outer surface of the second layer of the film comprising polyurethane. In another aspect, the coated film comprises a monolayer comprising from 70 to 100 percent by weight of a polyethylene having a density less than 0.930 g/cm3,
