This optical connector plug (1) is provided with an optical connector (2) in which an optical fiber is housed and a cover member (3) in which the optical connector (2) is accommodated. The cover member (3) is provided with a pair of projecting portions (33, 34) that are provided so as to protrude further to the front than the front end surface of the optical connector (2).
