The invention discloses a final joint installation method. The final joint installation method comprises the following steps: (A) a final joint is lifted for sinking; (B) a guide rod arranged on the final joint is lifted to put in a guide bracket groove; (C) the final joint is lifted to contact with a base bed; (D) the position of the guide rod in the guide bracket groove is adjusted to finish adjustment of the transverse position of the final joint relative to sinking pipes; (E) hydraulic jacks arranged on two end surfaces of the final joint are ejected out to contact with corresponding end surfaces of the sinking pipes; and the final joint is leveled with two sections of the sinking pipes; (F) the hydraulic jack on one side pushes the end surfaces of the sinking pipes, and the hydraulic jack on the other side correspondingly shrinks at the same time, so that gaps of the final joint from the two sections of the sinking pipes are the same, and the adjustment of the longitudinal position of the final joint rel
