Summary: | The invention relates to a synthetic method of an aromatic nitrile compound. The synthetic method comprises the following steps: adopting benzaldehyde or benzene ring substituted benzaldehyde derivatives as raw materials, enabling the raw materials to react with ammonia water at the room temperature under the catalysis of elemental iodine, adding sodium thiosulfate to remove excessive iodine, adding pure water, extracting by utilizing an extraction agent, drying a product by utilizing anhydrous sodium sulfate as a drying agent, and finally utilizing a rotary evaporation instrument to rotate and dry the solvent, thus obtaining a product. The method has the advantages that the reaction condition is moderate, no metal catalyst is used, the operation is simple and easy, the substrate adaptability is wide and the like, and can prepare the aromatic nitrile compounds with different substituent groups on the benzene rings.
