The invention discloses a whitening sunscreen skin care product and a preparation method thereof. The whitening sunscreen skin care product is prepared from the following components by weight percent: 4.4-5.6% of a whitening agent, 16-18% of a humectant, 4-6% of an emulsifying agent, 15-18% of grease, 0.8-1.0% of a thickening agent, 0.5-0.6% of an antioxidant, 0.32% of a preservative and 58.98-50.48% of deionized water, wherein the whitening agent is prepared from 4-5% of isooctyl ferulate, 0.1-0.3% of a liquorice root extract and 0.3% of radix sophorae and radix scutellariae extracts; the humectant is prepared from 4-6% of glycerin, 3-5% of propylene glycol, 5-7% of betaine, 1-3% of oat glucan, 0.6-0.9% of allantoin and 1% of ceramide; the grease is prepared from 1-3% of polydimethyl siloxane, 4-6% of caprylic/capric triglyceride, 1% of phytosterol, 4-6% of isopropyl myristate, 2-4% of ethylhexyl palmitate and 1% of lecithin.
