Summary: | The invention discloses a preparation method of a Pd-M-based metal catalyst for high-purity acetylene hydrogenation for preparing ethylene, and a method for preparing ethylene. The preparation method of the catalyst comprises the following steps: (1) mixing a water-soluble palladium salt, an assistant metal M precursor and water to obtain a mixed solution, wherein the assistant metal M precursor is a water-soluble salt; (2) contacting a carrier with the mixed solution by an equivalent-volume impregnation technology to make metal palladium and the assistant loaded on the carrier; and (3) drying a product obtained in step (2), and carrying out reducing calcination to obtain the Pd-M-based metal catalyst, wherein the reducing calcination is carried out under vacuum diluted hydrogen conditions, and the vacuum diluted hydrogen conditions comprise the vacuum degree of 0.04-0.085 MPa and the hydrogen flow rate of 0.1-10 ml/(gcat.min).
