The present invention provides a method and system for obtaining accurate blocking coefficients. According to the method and system, coordinate points are set in regions in an electronic map, wherein blocking coefficients of the regions require to be calculated; distances between adjacent coordinate points are smaller than a set threshold value; as for each coordinate point, at least three traffic cloud data are obtained, and each of the traffic cloud data are integrated, so that real-time traffic data are obtained; whether a certain coordinate point is a congestion source is judged according to the traffic data of each coordinate point and the traffic data of a downstream coordinate point which is adjacent to the corresponding coordinate point; and if the certain coordinate point is determined as a congestion source, and the blocking coefficient of the congestion source is obtained according to the difference of the traffic data of the coordinate point and the traffic data of the downstream coordinate point
