The invention discloses an air conditioner and a control method thereof. The air conditioner comprises a compressor, a heat interchanger, a heat exchanger and a radiation plate, wherein the radiation plate and the heat exchanger are connected through first and second ports of the heat interchanger; an air sucking end of the compressor is adaptively connected with a third port of the heat interchanger; an exhaust end of the compressor is adaptively connected with one of the heat exchanger and the radiation plate; a fourth port of the heat interchanger is adaptively connected with the other one of the heat exchanger and the radiation plate; and a pipeline between the first and second ports of the heat interchanger exchanges heat with a pipeline between the third and fourth ports of the heat interchanger.
