The method comprises the steps of acquiring face image information of a driver and license plate image information of a vehicle when a vehicle is detected in a predetermined region; performing part recognition on the face image information, building a feature template, and building a face feature set according to the feature template of each part of the face; processing the license plate image information, positioning a license plate region, performing character segmentation, and forming a license plate feature set after performing normalization processing on characters; enabling the face feature set and the license plate feature set to be compared with a prestored standard feature set so as to confirm the identity of the driver and the vehicle information, and turning a confirmation result.
