Summary: | Provided is an exceptionally safe lithium-ion cell. A lithium-ion cell 20 having a discharge capacity of 20 Ah or more, the cell being provided with, inside a cell vessel 5: an electrode group 6 in which a positive electrode having as a principal positive-electrode active material a lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt composite oxide, and a negative electrode having as a principal negative-electrode active material an amorphous carbon, are layered with a separator interposed therebetween; and an electrolyte, wherein the ratio (value of Y/X) of the volume Y of the electrolyte in relation to the total pore volume X within the cell container 5 is 0.65 or more.
