Summary:A circuit for a passive RFID card 202, comprises an antenna 208 for receiving an RF signal, an RFID chip 210 for controlling an output of the RFID card 202, and a biometrics processing device 220 separate from the RFID chip 210 and comprising a fingerprint sensor 230. The antenna 208 has first and second pairs of terminals 222, 224; 222, 233, wherein when the RF signal is received by the antenna 208, the first pair of terminals 222, 224 receives the full voltage generated across the antenna and the second pair of terminals 222, 233 receives a lower voltage than a voltage generated across the first pair of terminals. In a first mode of operation, the biometric sensor 230 scans fingerprint data and compares it to pre- stored fingerprint data, and in a second mode of operation, the RFID chip 210 communicates with an RFID scanner 204. A switch 234 is controlled such that the biometrics processing device 220 is powered by the voltage generated across the first pair of terminals 222, 224 when the circuit is operati
