Summary:[Problem] To provide a heavy metal separation system which, at low cost, uses magnetic powder to efficiently separate and recover heavy metals from objects being treated. [Solution] In these heavy metal separation systems 100, 200, heavy metal components contained in objects being treated are adsorbed onto magnetic powder, and the heavy metal components are transferred to an acid bath 40 together with the magnetic powder by a magnet part 60. The state of adsorption between the magnetic powder and heavy metal components is undone by an acidic solution in the acid bath 40, and the magnetic powder is discharged to a magnetic powder recovery unit 70. In the magnetic powder recovery unit 70, the heavy metal components and the magnetic powder are separated.
