The invention provides a post-deterioration performance estimating apparatus and method for an energy storage device, and an energy storage system. The post-deterioration performance estimating apparatus estimates a value indicating the performance of an energy storage element at a given deterioration time point, that is a post-deterioration performance value, sets a discharge capacity in a case where the energy storage element is discharged at a given first current as an energy storage capacity, sets a discharge capacity in a case where the energy storage element is discharged at a given second current lower than the first current as a small current discharge capacity, sets a relational expression indicating a relation among the initial capacity of the energy storage element, a value obtained by subtracting the small current discharge capacity from the initial capacity, namely first capacity declining quantity, a value obtained by subtracting the small current discharge capacity from the energy storage capac
