Summary:The invention discloses a bailey arch butt joint and shut construction method, and the method comprises the steps of assembling a bailey rack with a single-row single-layer bailey sheet and a transversal connection bracing frame at an ashore abutment by a worker, and installing an arch shut butt joint apparatus at a bailey rack female connector; hoisting the bailey rack assembled in step 1 to an assigned construction place to butt joint a suspending arch in the air through two hoisting points of the bailey rack cable hoisting system; after assembling the arch, drawing vertically 2-4 channel segment buckle cables to an I-steel crossbeam at the bottom of the arch, and drawing transversally 2 channels for stabilizing a segment wind cable of the arch on the I-steel crossbeam to complete a whole segment of bailey rack.
