Summary:To provide a lamp structure which has a high luminance maintenance rate over the prolonged time by preventing a blackening causative agent such as metal evaporated from an electrode, an electrode core wire or the like in a light-emitting tube from being blackened by being transported by convective gas during lighting and attached to the inner wall of the light-emitting tube, in a short arc type discharge lamp in which a pair of negative electrode and positive electrode is arranged opposite to each other inside the light-emitting tube and which is vertically turned on. Above a positive electrode located at an upper position in a light-emitting tube, a capturing member is mounted which passes convective gas through the light-emitting tube and captures a blackening causative agent 种短弧型放电灯,在对阴极和阳极被相对配置在发光管的内部且被垂直点亮的短弧型放电灯中,防止从发光管内的电极及电极芯线等的蒸发掉的金属等黑化原因物质被点亮时的对流气体输送并附着于发光管的内壁而黑化,提供照度维持率长时间地较高的灯构造。特征在于,在位于发光管内的上方位置的电极的上方,安装有使发光管内的对流气体通过而捕集黑化原因物质的捕集部件。
