Summary:A circuit breaker comprises a shell, a support, terminals, a tripping assembly, a contact arm, an arc-extinguishing grid plate group, a static contact and a moving contact. When the contact arm is swung away under driving of the tripping assembly, contact between the moving contact on the contact arm and the static contact is separated. An arm driving piece of the tripping assembly is provided with an arc striking device for driving the arm driving piece to swing in and out of an arc striking notch in the arc-extinguishing grid plate group, the arc striking device is far away from the moving contact, the arc gap is larger, the distance between the arc generated when the contact is pulled to be broken and the moving contact is farther, the arc is extinguished more easily, and thus, the structure is more reasonable, greater short circuit current can be tolerated, the breaking capacity of the circuit breaker can thus be improved, and an electric appliance and a line behind can be better protected; and besides, t
