Summary: | The invention relates to a catalyst for preparing benzaldehyde through methyl benzoate hydrogenation and a preparation method thereof. The catalyst uses zirconia as a carrier, uses manganese oxide as an active component, and uses chromium oxide as a binder. The catalyst has high selectivity, high activity and high activity stability and is directly prepared through a mixing and kneading method, and the preparation method is simple.
