Summary: | The invention discloses a robot tracking device and method for a road intersection. The device comprises a vehicle body moving apparatus and an infrared sensor apparatus, wherein the vehicle body moving apparatus comprises four omnidirectional wheels (front, rear, left and right) and a DC motor for driving the omnidirectional wheels to rotate. The infrared sensor apparatus comprises a four-way infrared sensor of the front wheel and four-way infrared sensors of side wheels. The sampling frequency of the infrared sensor is determined according to the moving speed of the vehicle, and the vehicle body is controlled to move along a track according to a sampling result of the four-way infrared sensor of the front wheel when the vehicle does not enter a tracking region of the intersection and enters the tracking region of the intersection.
