In the feeding step, the molar ratio of polyethyleneimine to carbon disulfide is 1:(0.538-0.588), the catalyst, namely 4-dimethylaminopyridine, accounts for 0.04-0.18% of the weight of polyethyleneimine, and the catalyst, namely N-(3-dimethulaminopropyl)-N'-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride, accounts for 0.09-0.23% of the weight of polyethyleneimine. The density of the produced chelating agent is 1.07-1.13 g/ml at 25 DEG C, the pH value (10% aqueous solution) is 10.5-11.4, the viscosity of the chelating agent is 80-90 mPa.s at 25 DEG C, the low-temperature stability is good, and the heat resistance is good.
