Summary: | The invention discloses a hydrophobic catalyst. The hydrophobic catalyst is prepared from, by total mass, a vanadium-titanium-sulfur catalyst and a water repellent agent, wherein the mass ratio of the water repellent agent to the vanadium-titanium-sulfur catalyst is 0.1-1.0. The invention provides a hydrophobic vanadium-titanium catalyst, a preparation method thereof and an application technology of the catalyst in one-step methyl alcohol oxidization for methylal preparation. The catalyst uses vanadium oxide as an active component, uses titanic oxide as an assistant and has the advantages of being good in hydrophobicity, high in methyl alcohol conversion rate, good in stability, good in repeatability and high in methylal selectivity.
