The invention relates to a vertical glass detection conveying table and a detection method thereof. The vertical glass detection conveying table structurally comprises a vertical glass conveying table assembly, wherein the vertical glass conveying table assembly is provided with a transverse servo conveying device for conveying glass, a glass conveying path through which the glass passes, a height measuring mechanism for measuring the height of the glass, and a first detection element and a second detection element for detecting whether the glass passes by or not; the first detection element and the second detection element are distributed at the bottom of the glass conveying path along a glass conveying direction; the height measuring mechanism comprises a third detection element and a longitudinal control servo motor for controlling the third detection element to ascend and descend; the third detection element moves upwards and downwards in the glass conveying path in order to detect the height of the glass
