Embodiments of the invention provide a method and device for detecting maliciousness of a uniform resource locator (URL). The method comprises: acquiring a to-be-detected URL; acquiring multiple initial detection results, including indicating that the to-be-detected URL is a safe URL or belongs to a corresponding category of malicious URL, of multiple resource databases to the to-be-detected URL; and respectively taking a pre-allocated weight of each resource database as a corresponding weight of an initial detection result, performing statistic and summation on the weight of each initial detection result with the same result, and selecting an initial detection result with the highest weight statistical sum to be a final detection result of the to-be-detected URL.
