The invention discloses a road drainage ditch structure suitable for a sponge city. The structure comprises a U-shape base foundation layer which is open at the upper end surface. A water storage filtering layer is arranged in the U-shape foundation layer in the length direction. The inside of the U-shape foundation layer is divided by the water storage filtering layer into an upper water drainage layer and a lower water drainage layer. The upper end open surface of the U-shape foundation layer is covered by rainwater gratings. The water storage filtering layer comprises a sand filtering layer, a water permeation geotextile layer and water permeation concrete slabs.
