The invention discloses a terminal and a synchronization method thereof. A first terminal automatically obtains at least one of general data and personalized data of the first terminal according to at least one of capability information and type information of connected second terminals; and at least one of the general data and personalized data are sent to the second terminal belonging to the same account and only the general data are sent to the second terminal not belonging to different accounts. Hand-operated setting of the user is not required during the whole synchronization process and the operation becomes simple.
