Summary:The invention relates to a guide rail (1) for a traction drive, comprising a supporting body (2) with an active surface (3) and a slideway lining (4) which is arranged on the supporting body (2) and, for contact with the active surface (3), has a basic surface (5) and an opposite slideway surface (6) provided for contact with a traction mechanism, wherein the supporting body (2) has at least one recess (7a) for receiving at least one locking hook (8a), which is formed on the slideway lining (4), such that slipping of the slideway lining (4) from the supporting body (2) is prevented. According to the invention, at least one first locking hook (8a) is formed on a first edge (9a) of the basic surface (5) of the slideway lining (4), and at least one second locking hook (8b) is formed on a second, opposite edge (9b) of the basic surface (5) of the slideway lining (4), wherein the at least two locking hooks (8a, 8b) each have an undercut (10a, 10b) which interacts in a form-fitting manner with the respective recess
