Summary:The invention relates to a bit rate allocation method and a bit rate allocation device in digital audio coding. The bit rate allocation method includes selecting a group of specific adjustment coefficients to subject mask thresholds of low-frequency and high-frequency sub-bands in one sound channel to adaptive adjustment so as to achieve adaptive bit rate allocation in the sound channel. According to the method, adaptive bit rate allocation among sound channels is achieved according to characteristics of every sound channel, and a specific weight coefficient is selected to subject the mask thresholds of the mixed high-frequency signals to adaptive adjustment so as to achieve adaptive bit rate allocation during intensity stereo coding.
