Summary: | The invention relates to a preparation method of a ternary metal unsupported catalyst. The method selects two group VIB metal compounds as active component raw materials, and selects a nickel salt with different water solubilities as an assistant catalysis component raw material. The method comprises the following steps: mixing the active component raw materials with the an assistant catalysis component raw material to generate a precipitate; fully stirring a precipitate-containing suspension under certain conditions to complete a composite reaction; and standing the suspension at different ageing times, carrying out suction filtration after ageing, and carrying out a series of treatments on obtained filter cake to obtain the ternary metal unsupported catalyst with high particle fineness, large specific surface area and good HDS activity.
