The subject of the invention provides a Glycyrrhiza cultivation method. The Glycyrrhiza cultivation method is characterized in that direct sowing cultivation is performed in a land meeting the following conditions (1)-(3), and a method meeting at least one of the conditions (4) and (5) is adopted to cultivate the Glycyrrhiza. The conditions includes: (1) a soil layer with the depth of 0.7 m away from an earth surface is dry except rainfall or irrigation in the condition of less than 820 mm annual precipitation; (2) liquid water exists in a soil layer with the depth of 3-8 m underground; (3) soil is silt or clay; (4) harvest is performed in July-September; and (5) overground parts of the Glycyrrhiza are cut off for 5-8 times every year. 本发明的课题在于提供种板蓝根的栽培方法，其特征在于，在满足如下条件(1)-(3)的地块中进行直播栽培，再用满足条件(4)和条件(5)中的至少个条件的方法进行栽培，具体条件如下：(1)年降水量不足820mm，地表以下至至少0.7m深的土壤层除降水或实施灌溉时以外是干燥的；(2)在地下3-8m的土壤层，有以液体状存在的水；(3)土壤为粉砂或粘土；(4)7月-9月收获；(5)割除板蓝根的地上部分，每年5-8次。
