Summary:A multi-TTS (Text-To-Speech) engine output speed adjusting method and a multi-TTS engine output speed adjusting system based on a smart robot are provided. The method comprises a reading speed determining step in which multi-modal interaction data is received and analyzed to determine the types and reading speeds of TTS engines needing to be called, an output speed determining step in which the output speeds of the TTS engines needing to be called are calculated based on a speed adjusting model and the types and reading speeds of the TTS engines needing to be called, and a voice output step in which the TTS engines needing to be called are called to output voice at the output speeds respectively. Compared with the existing multi-TTS engine output speed adjusting method, the method does not require users to set the related parameters of each TTS engine, the speeds of different TTS engines can be set by the same set of speed adjusting scheme, and therefore, multi-TTS engine output speed adjustment is more effic
