The invention discloses a safe removing method of residual filter cakes in a horizontal scraper unloading centrifuge capable of improving the removing efficiency. The removing method comprises the following steps: in the rotating process of a drum of the centrifuge, fixed ports of flanges at two ends of filter cloth perform opposite reciprocating forward and reverse rotating motions in the rotating direction of a main shaft of the centrifuge or/and opposite reciprocating stretching shrinkage motions in the axial direction of the main shaft of the centrifuge to force stretching and twisting of cylindrical filter cloth, so that the filter cloth is deviated from the inner wall of the drum, and residual filter cake layers on the filter cloth are deformed and ruptured to deviate from the filter cloth.
