Summary:A paddy field work machine is characterized by comprising a travel speed changer arranged between a part of one side of a long side of an input shaft (21) and a part of one side of a long side of a travel transmission shaft (49); and an operation speed changer arranged between a part of the other side of a long side of the input shaft (21) and a part of the other side of a long side of an operation transmission shaft (23). A steering shaft (74) of a front wheel is arranged between a front wall part (10d) of a gearbox and the input shaft (21), the travel speed changer, and the operation speed changer. When viewed in a side face, the input shaft (21), the travel transmission shaft (49), the operation transmission shaft (23), the travel speed changer and the operation speed changer are arranged between a virtual line (K1) and a rear wall part (10p) of the gearbox (10). The virtual line (K1) extends from a shaft core of an operation shaft (76) to the upper side, and the operation shaft (76) veers the front wheel.
