The invention discloses a composition for improving root system capability and yield of crops. The composition includes, by weight, 60 parts of 2-(acetoxyl)benzoic acid, 3.6-12 parts of diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate, 0.5-2 parts of a wetting agent, and 0.5-3 parts of a dispersing agent. In the composition, the 2-(acetoxyl)benzoic acid is compounded with the diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate, so that the composition is enlarged in regulation range and is improved in effects and selectivity, can reduce the dosage of a plant growth regulator, relatively reduces medication cost and reduces the residual period of the medicine, thereby avoiding phytotoxicity and enabling crops to be safe.
