Summary:The present invention relates to a belt-shaped rope (100) for an elevator, which comprises: a carbon fiber or glass fiber composite material (110); and a coating layer (120) connected to the external side of the carbon fiber or glass fiber composite material (110), wherein the composite material has a protrusion part (111), or is a circular core consisting of the twisted carbon fiber or glass fiber (112) and a polymer substrate (113), or wherein multiple polymer yarns (114) are braided or disposed in a random pattern.
