The invention provides a safety monitoring method for an electric bicycle. The safety monitoring method comprises the steps that a first state of the electric bicycle is monitored; when the situation that the first state of the electric bicycle is transformed is monitored, a second state of the electric bicycle is monitored correspondingly within predetermined delayed duration; whether the second state of the electric bicycle is transformed within the predetermined delayed duration or not and whether transformation of the second state meets the state transformation condition or not are judged; and if not, the electric bicycle is judged to be in a non-safe state.
