Summary: | The invention relates to the technical field of fine chemical engineering, in particular to a nicotinamide production method. The method comprises the steps that in the hydrolytic process, water is adopted as a solvent, manganese dioxide is adopted as a catalyst, 3-cyanopyridine is subjected to heating and hydrolysis reaction, in the hydrolysis reaction process, alcohol is not needed to serve as a solvent, the production cost of nicotinamide is reduced, the yield of nicotinamide is high and can reach 85% or above, the purity of the product is determined through a high performance liquid chromatography method, the purity can reach 99.93% or above, the cost of recycling the solvent and the catalyst manganese dioxide is effectively reduced, the waste rate of the raw materials is decreased, and the emission rate of liquid waste is decreased.
