Summary: | The invention provides a gibbsite and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the gibbsite comprises the following sequential steps: 1) putting a sodium aluminate solution into a decomposing device, and preserving heat at 50-100 DEG C; 2) introducing CO2 gas into the heat-preserved sodium aluminate solution while stirring, and controlling the gas inflating speed at 30-60L/L*H; 3) when the decomposing rate of the sodium aluminate solution is 10-40%, stopping gas introduction, and continuing stirring; and 4) stopping stirring, performing solid-liquid separation on the solution in the decomposing device, and washing and drying a solid obtained after the solid-liquid separation to obtain the gibbsite. The gibbsite prepared by the preparation method provided by the invention is high in sodium content, and is applicable to certain special purposes.
