An embodiment of the invention provides a message syncing method and platform, a network server and an adapting server. The method comprises: after receiving a message receiving request of a browser through a first connection, forwarding the message receiving request through a second connection and maintaining the first connection; enabling the adapting server to acquire a corresponding message according to the message receiving request received through the second connection; if a message returned for the message receiving request is received through the second connection within a preset first period, returning the received message to the browser and disconnecting the first connection. In the embodiment of the invention, the first and second connections are disconnected in time, and system resources required for maintaining the first and second connections are released; operating pressure of the platform is reduced greatly, the browser may receive more accesses and/or requests of the browser may be responded
