The invention discloses a terminal electricity purchase control circuit and method for preventing arrearage of electricity customers. The terminal electricity purchase control circuit comprises a power supply, a metering cabinet, a tripping relay, a remote control device and a terminal acquisition device, wherein the power supply, the metering cabinet and the tripping relay are in series connection in sequence; and the remote control device is connected with the terminal acquisition device. A tripping control loop in the metering cabinet is connected in parallel with a normally-open contact K1 of a terminal tripping loop; the normally-open contact K1 of the terminal tripping loop is communicated with the remote control device; and the output end of the tripping relay is connected in series with a thermosensitive resistor.
