The invention discloses a motion identification method and device. A human motion is collected and edited preliminarily, and an initial frame and an end frame of the motion are determined; joints, circularity and Zernike moments are extracted from the edited human motion data and serve as descriptive characteristics of the human motion; noise, error caused by motion speed change and matching error in motion time are removed from the descriptive characteristics; and the processed descriptive characteristics serve as input and are input to a support vector machine for training, and a classification model capable of identifying the motion is obtained. The classification model provides corresponding motion labels for concrete labels, and thus, defines a new human motion. Via the method and device of the invention, a user needs only to record motions of himself/herself or others to define and identify the motions, and the identification rate can reach more than 95%. 本发明公开了种动作识别方法及装置，本发明中首先采集人体动作，并对人体动作进行初步编辑，确定动作的
