Summary:The invention relates to a device for suppressing lightning trip-out rate by stretching a discharge flashover path through lightning pulse. The device is composed of a tower cross arm, an insulator chain and a protective gap mechanism. The protective gap mechanism is composed of an iron core, a rotating bearing metal shielding cover, an electromagnetic induction coil, an induction coil balance strong positioning magnet and an air gap. A flashover path is formed between lightning overvoltage protective gap upper and lower electrodes through discharging and then the flashover path is stretched by electromagnetic power generated by the lightning pulse so that the channel potential gradient can be reduced and thus the lightning trip-out rate can be suppressed. The device is simple in manufacturing technology, convenient to install, high in operability and low in cost and can stand lightning pulse discharge for multiple times and has the characteristic of repeated use so that the device is suitable for large-scale
