The invention discloses a BIM-based property management system and method. The system comprises a handheld intelligent device for transmitting a user instruction and device information to a network server; a device identification end for storing the device information; a sensor end for collecting device operation data and transmitting the device operation data to the network server; the network server for data interaction between the handheld intelligent device and a database end and data transmission between the sensor end and the database end; and the database end for storing and controlling a property management BIM and project drawings and managing the operation of the device.
