The invention discloses an SDN-based WLAN centralized type AP selection mechanism. With advantages of SDN centralized control, information of a whole network is obtained; a data operation task and an information processing task are taken by a controller; and according an AP load degree and terminal activeness, selection is carried out in sequence. According to the invention, the information of the whole network can be obtained by using the advantages of the SDN centralized control, so that selection becomes accurate. The data operation and information tasks are taken by the controller and only the terminal needs to take a few tasks, so the power of the terminal is saved. And selection is carried out in sequence according to the AP load degree and the terminal activeness, so that the efficiency is high. Simulated verification is carried out on the AP selection mechanism; and the simulation result demonstrates that the throughput capacity is improved effectively.
