The invention relates to a composition for treating/or preventing liver injury and enhancing in-vivo autioxidant enzyme activity and/or reducing inflammatory response. The composition mainly comprises, by weight, 20-36 parts of Rhizoma Imperatae, 6-12 parts of Fructus Lycii and 15-30 parts of Fructus Crataegi. The composition can be prepared into pharmaceutic preparations, healthcare products or foods. According to pharmacological study, the composition has good antioxidant activity, effectively treats oxidative stress type injury to the liver caused by alcohol, and particularly regulates SOD and GPX gene expressions of liver autioxidant enzyme, improves SOD and GPX activities, and reduces expression of the inflammation inducing factor interferon IFN-gamma. Besides, the composition has the advantages of mild action, remarkable curative effect, preparation simplicity and high safety, is applicable to treatment of acute or chronic liver injury caused by alcohol, and is worthy of being popularized and applied. 本
