The invention relates to a reactive power control method and system of a convertor station, and a high voltage direct current transmission system; wherein the method comprises following steps of collecting the total reactive power value provided by an alternating current filer put into the convertor station; obtaining the preset exchanging reactive power expected value of the convertor station and an alternating current system; summing the total reactive power value and the reactive power expected value, thus obtaining the reactive power instruction value consumed by a converter in the converter station; according to the reactive power instruction value and the preset direct current power instruction value of the converter station, obtaining the direct current voltage instruction value of the converter station; according to the direct current voltage instruction value and the direct current power instruction value, obtaining the direct current instruction value of the converter station; and controlling the co
