Summary:The invention relates to a herbicide for gramineous crop fields and application of the herbicide. The herbicide at least comprises N-dichloroacetyl-3-benzoyl-2, 4-piperidinedione and the derivative of the N-dichloroacetyl-3-benzoyl-2, 4-piperidinedione or the effective constituent of the enol-form structure of the N-dichloroacetyl-3-benzoyl-2, 4-piperidinedione, wherein the formula of the N-dichloroacetyl-3-benzoyl-2, 4-piperidinedione is shown as follows, and X1, X2, X3 and X4 are hydrogen, C1-C4 gaseous normal alkyl, branched alkyl, halogen, nitryl, trifluoromethyl, sulfonyl or methanesulfonyl. The herbicide which can be prepared into wettable powder, water dispersible granules, suspending agent and dispersible oil suspension is good in weeding effect, safe to crops such as corn and wheat, wide in weeding spectrum and good in preventing effect on gramineous weeds.
