Summary: | Disclosed herein is a reinforced composition comprising: 70 to 90 weight percent (wt%) of a compatibilized blend of polyamide 66, a polyphthalamide/aliphatic polyamide copolymer and a poly(phenylene ether) wherein said compatibilized blend is formed from a mixture of the polyamide 66, polyphthalamide/aliphatic polyamide copolymer, polyphenylene ether, and a functionalizing agent; and 10 to 30 wt% of talc, wollastonite, clay or a combination thereof, wherein the polyphthalamide/aliphatic polyamide copolymer has a melting point of 270 to 290 DEG C and a glass transition temperature of 75 to 95 DEG C and the copolymer is present in an amount of 15 to 30 weight percent based on the total weight of the composition. |
